Dolores Sanchez de la-Puente was born in 1961 in Argentina, her mother’s country, and has also lived in her father’s country: Peru. She is married to Martin Gomez-Bustillo and has three children. Her artistic education took place in Peru, Argentina and the United States under prestigious artists in drawing and painting in different media. She is currently taking classes at the Art’s League in Alexandria, Virginia near her home in Potomac, Maryland. Dolores' art is as varied as her own life. She is continually inspired by the beauty sorrounding her, found in people, landscapes and particularly in her faith which together with her family are her greatest treasures. She loves to translate into paper and canvas all the emotion and feeling of the subjects that inspire her. As a portraitist she has been a member of the Portrait Society of America for many years and has worked on many commissioned works. She has given workshops and private classes, being able to share with students her passion for art. Dolores had her first solo exhibit at the Yellow Barn in Glen Echo, MD in October 2011 and it was a great success. She will be teaching a plein air workshop during the spring. If interesting in joining it, please contact her. Galleries: The Art League Gallery |
